The office is open to the public from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

The District Office is staffed by the District Chief and the 3 Deputy Chiefs (Operations, Training & Safety and Fire Marshal.

The District Office is the location of our Administrative Services Department including HR and Clerk for the Board, our Finance Department including Ambulance Billing, Payroll our Accounting services, and our Inspectors.

Station 1

Station 1 is staffed by the shift’s Battalion Chief and Training & Safety Captain.

Station 7 personnel include (7) seven career staff.

Station 7 is the home of Ranchos Fire Rescue.

 

The volunteer department was established in 1974. Station 7 volunteers operate out of Station 2.

Station 4 personnel include (3) three career staff.

Station 4 was the original Topaz Ranch Estates VFD established in 1967. Station 4 and 5 volunteers consolidated into one department the Topaz Volunteer Fire Department in 2007.

Station 10 is currently being leased to the Forest Service.

​

It was the home of the Ruhenstroth Volunteer Fire Department established in 1987 but currently inactive.

Station 2 is the home of Gardnerville Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1911. It also serves as a training center and houses crews when needed.

Station 5 is the home of Topaz Volunteer Fire Department. 

The original Topaz Lake VFD was established in 1967. Station 4 and 5 volunteers consolidated into one department in 2007.

Johnson Lane VFD covers Pinon Hills, Johnson Lane, Jack’s Valley, and the Minden airport and industrial area.
