Spring 2018 Back Yard Burn Opens This Saturday!

The Spring 2018 general backyard burn season will be opening this Saturday, March 17, and run through Sunday, May 6.

Burn permits will be available for pick up at all fire stations, the District Office, the Minden Inn and can be downloaded from this link.

Residents participating in general backyard burning will be instructed per the permit to call the East Fork Fire burn line each day they wish to burn. A recording will advise whether it is a permissive burn day and what the permissive burn hours are for that day. The burn days and hours will be determined by the Battalion Chief; burning can start as early as 0700 hours and must be completely extinguished by 1530 hours.

It is the responsibility of the burner to have the correct burn permit on the premises and to check the burn line to confirm burn day status and hours. The Spring Burn Permit number is 03172018-590.

Plan Review Application and Fee Schedule

The Plan Review Application is now a one page fill-in form in PDF. Type the information into the form and print to submit the application.

At the May 16, 2017 Board of Directors meeting, a 15% increase in the plan review fees was approved. The new fee schedule is effective July 1, 2017.

All fees for plan check review will be required to be paid in full at the time the plans are submitted. Partial payments will no longer be accepted.
